PASTRY CHEF
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma or Degree in Pastry Arts, Baking and Pastry, Culinary Arts, or a related field from a recognized culinary institution.
Food Safety and Hygiene Certification) is preferred.
Advanced training in confectionery or dessert presentation is an advantage.
Expertise in pastry production and decoration.
Team supervision and training.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Oversees the production and presentation of all pastry items in alignment with established recipes, quality standards, and operational procedures.
Ensure all raw materials/ingredients are readily available for staff to have a continuous flow of work, with no delays.
Ensure all raw materials received are of good quality.
Coordination with operations and hotels regarding needs for pastries.
Keep inventory at the right level, and monitor daily production batches and yields.
Ensure briefing and training are conducted daily.
Ensure proper inputs in staff HRIS to avoid salary discrepancy
Check cleanliness in each section. Schedule areas that need thorough cleaning, especially equipment.
