The Group provides each major business in Macquarie with teams that work closely with that business to understand its technology needs. The CGM SAF Technology department is responsible for running and improving services/applications for CGM SAF business group, specially related to the technology and mobile leasing business of the bank.
The SAF Technology team is looking for an experienced Oracle EBS Administrator to work as part of our global team to support and develop enhancements for the SAF TMT leasing business.
The opportunity focuses on the operational support of our Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1.3 instances across prod and non-prod. This will be part of a small team of Oracle Apps DBAs that support global product teams and business.
Key Responsibilities
Operational support and maintenance of the Oracle E-Business Suite R12 technology stack
Creation, configuration, upgrade, backup, tuning, capacity planning & administration of Oracle databases
Management of Oracle critical upgrades and patch management
Effective troubleshooting of EBS performance issues
Assist developers and end-users with database usage, query development, and tuning
Refreshing and cloning of environments
Develop and implement EBS monitoring systems
Participate in the planning, execution of disaster recovery plans and relevant testing
Implement High Availability and Disaster Recovery Database Solutions
Work with developers and operation teams to migrate objects and code between non-production and production environments
Effective troubleshooting of EBS and database performance issues
Key Skills Requirements
Experience using WebLogic for Oracle EBS R12 operational support and maintenance
Experience with Oracle EBS upgrade projects
Experience with installation and support of Oracle RAC, R12.2 and 11g and 19c database
Experience upgrading Oracle databases
Experienced in troubleshooting Oracle Application configuration and infrastructure issues
Exposure and hands-on Performance tuning of instance and application.
Experience and hands-on Unix shell scripting.
Experience with RMAN Backups and Restore, OEM
Good understanding of Architecture and infrastructure (servers)
Familiarity with Oracle tools OEM, tkprof, sqlt AWR, Statspack, ADDM
Experience with AD Utilities, cloning, forms and reports generation /compilation, IAS, Java, application server, opatch, relinking
Should be a good team player with good communications skills.
Should be ready for working over the weekends for scheduled maintenance activities
Strong understanding of UNIX commands
Strong understanding of ITIL processes.
Usage of tools to enforce and support these processes such as Remedy is a plus.
AWS experience is highly regarded
Qualification and Work Experience Background
5+ years of experience in Oracle Database administration
5+ years of experience working with implementing and/or upgrading Oracle database applications.
BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience working as part of a global team across multiple countries, cultures and time-zones
Strong communication skills
Effective communication, relationship and stakeholder management skills
Strong client service focus and willingness to respond to queries and provide deliverables within prompt timeframes.
Flexibility to deal with changing priorities and multiple work streams.
Ability to proactively identify challenges and opportunities for the team's overall improvement.
