Design a highly-available Database infrastructure that will meet the SLA. 2. Train and mentor a infrastructure engineers in building, optimizing and troubleshooting the database infrastructure 3. Interface with the other departments and technology group in defining the infrastructure required, and the architecture to be implemented for the database. This includes, but is not limited to, providing a bill of materials (BOM), dimensioning servers and their attendant requirements (such as rack space, power, interconnectivity, media, etc.) 4. Suggest and document appropriate protocols related to the management of data stored in the database such as (but not included to): data preparation protocols, data security, data integrity and validation protocols, etc. 5. Provide the appropriate documentation and knowledge-transfer to the technology teams, both internal to SMMT-TIM, and to external parties (client). 6. Provide maintenance and diagnostic procedures including (but not limited to) developing scripts for stored procedures, providing a troubleshooting tree documentation for the database other attendant infrastructure components, etc. 7. Ensure that the database is secure. 8. Keep Technology manager well informed of status of deployment efforts. 9. Identify, manage and mitigate project risks and issues involving database. 10. Monitor and manage internal and external customer satisfaction. Specific Knowledge: ? Advanced knowledge of Oracle Database (language, scripting, design, etc.) ? Intimate knowledge of data structures, data management and DBMS ? Intermediate knowledge of Linux OS ? SQL Language ? Linux/Windows O.S ? Shell Scripting ? MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Excel ? Advanced concepts and basic operating principles of data communications and information systems hardware and software.
