Junior or senior Oracle database administrator (with experience in MSSQL and/or EBS Apps DBA) ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR Minimum Experience (Junior/Associate level): - Practical experience in Oracle Database Administration - Database software installation, upgrade, and patching - Database Maximum Availability Architecture: RAC, ASM, Data Guard - Backup and recovery using RMAN - Basic performance tuning (Statspack, AWR, ASH) - Working knowledge of OS: Linux/Unix, Windows - Working knowledge in basic computer networking Preferred Experience (Senior/Principal level): - Engineered Systems EXADATA - Oracle Database Appliance - Private Cloud Appliance - Upgrades/migrations - Upgrade from 10g/11g to 18c/19c - Migration from on-prem to cloud (OCI/AWS/Azure) Replication - Oracle Golden Gate installation and extract/replicat configuration and troubleshooting - Active Data Guard configuration and troubleshooting - Oracle Enterprise Manager setup and configuration - OEM 13c installation and configuration - Database Vault implementation - Data Masking configuration Database Security - Audit Vault and Database Firewall implementation Junior/Senior Oracle DBA applicants with experience on SQL Server database administration and/or E-Business Suite Apps database administration will be prioritized. Job Description: - Perform production support administration tasks to clients, including proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, tracing, backup, recovery, and on-call support to ensure availability and performance requirements are met. - Implement problem detection and prevention strategies to reduce database problems and improve service quality. - Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes - Perform database installation, migrations, patches, and upgrades. - Design, configure, test, and support high-availability clustering utilizing Oracle RAC, DataGuard, and industry and vendor best practices. - Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members. - Create documentation and contribute to the knowledge repository for use by the managed services team. - Conduct knowledge transfers through formal trainings and/or brownbag sessions - Assist in presales activities such as scoping, architectural design, and cost estimation
