JOB SUMMARY
Ensures the availability of raw materials at the required quantity, right time and place at the least possible cost.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Functions
Supply Planning
Secures safety stock level of dry and packaging materials per facility and hubs.
Monitors and executes strategic inventory replenishment of handled dry and packaging materials thru:
Direct deliveries from suppliers to processing plants and external hubs
Transfer from external warehouses to processing plants
Plant-to-plant transfers
Demand Planning
Prepares the buy plans of all dry and packaging materials based on the forecast provided by the S&OP.
Provides explanation on forecasted vs. actual usage.
Inventory Planning and Control Management
Prepares the weekly approved dispatch plan based on the request of the plan per MRP, and the available inventory in the hubs.
Manages aging of dry and packaging materials to prevent slow moving, non-moving, and obsolete materials.
Monitors day-to-day operational concerns and recommends solutions to bridge the gaps.
Warehousing and Distribution
Sets the prioritization in allocation based on availability, stock-on-hand, and expected usage for critical items.
Coordinates with processing (plant-deliveries) and logistics (external hub-deliveries) the delivery schedule and/or pick-up of all dry and packaging materials.
Ensures that the available space for dry and packaging materials storage are being maximized thru frequent replenishment to meet the target days level.
Financial Analysis
Provides variance explanation on planned vs. actual usage that may result in aging and may impact the funds usage.
Problem Solving
Recommends stop gap solutions to resolve issues and concerns in the materials being handled.
Coordinates with other departments to resolve cases of stock-out.
Elevates slow moving inventory for immediate disposition to Sales and Marketing.
Qualification
1. Graduate of INdustrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics and/ or Accounting related courses
2. Above average communication skills botyh oral and written
3. Above average computer skills
4. Experience in planning is an advantage
