The Job As an Operations Manager, you will be ensuring safe and efficient operations and will be required to serve as a company representative on assets and safety issues. You will be working on enhancing the operational procedure, systems and principles in the areas of operations processes, enhanced assets and inventory reporting and will be on a constant look out for opportunities to expand systems. Your responsibilities include: Ensuring continual improvement in the areas of cost, time, service, and quality by working on developing existing procedures Forecasting requirements, preparing annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions accordingly. Developing operations systems by determining storage requirements and developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization and inventory management. Establishing, following and enforcing safety standards and procedures that comply with legal regulations. Analyzing process workflow, employee and space requirements, equipment layout and implementing necessary changes. Managing Operations department, monitoring and evaluating staff work and providing advice, required support to enhance productivity. Ensuring proper maintenance and serving as primary liaison with utilities and local government agencies, such as fire, police, health and safety agencies. Reviewing and approving all operational invoices and ensuring they are submitted for payment. Serve as primary point of contact when there are employee and talent issues related to equipment quality, workplace or accidents and mishaps within the company premises. Communicating all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings. Working closely with Assets and Inventory team to perform analysis of the company's inventory and ensuring that the company is utilizing the inventory effectively, purchasing the right equipment and maintaining solid inventory data. Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company's policies and applicable laws. Staying updated by participating in educational & organizational opportunities, reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks. The Profile You possess Bachelor's Degree in operations management or related field and have at least 8 years experience in management, operations, and leadership roles. You also possess excellent organizational and communication skills. Solid understanding of financial management and good decision-making skills are required. You have thorough understanding of financial and budgeting processes. You are adaptable and can respond quickly to a shifting reality while adjusting initiatives and priorities accordingly.
