JOB SUMMARY:
To provide leadership and expertise for all financial aspects across RELX BUs. The role will be responsible for providing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and monthly reporting. The position will partner with business units, leaders, and teams to provide financial support and improve business performance. The position will focus on providing service to internal customers and to maintain and improve GRPA.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Management reporting - Manage a team to prepare standard monthly management financial reports and add commentaries/insights based on available information on trends and variances.
Management of team - Responsible for decision making and effective resourcing to ensure timely and quality delivery in line with service areas. Deploy and assign team members to specific activity areas. Ensure functional expertise, operational excellence and best practice implementation. Set direction of the team and operational priorities. Develop a highly motivated and appropriately skilled team aligned to BU Finance objectives. Promote teamwork and a collaborative environment within the GRPA.
Employee performance - Manage individuals' performance against REPH competency model and team/individual KPOs. Build, coach and develop the GRPA Manila team. Manage resilience across the team and succession planning. Champion career development frameworks and support training and development plans for individuals
Process improvement - Operational responsibility for identifying cross divisional opportunities for sharing best practise, Aligning reporting where possible, Identifying and delivering process improvements in line with industry best practise and the target operating model for the Relx Finance System project.
Analytics - Proactively investigate performance through BI analytics Respond to adhoc requests for analytics, through the agreed demand management framework, to provide support for product profitability, business case preparation and investigation into financial performance
Relations network, (internal / external) - Manages the team to act and acts as a single point of contact for business units or segments, with revenue owners having the full product P&L view. Manage customer/stakeholder expectations on GRPA services and business benefits. Develop excellent relations and maintain regular contact with Business Unit CFOs, Supervisors and Business Partners. Maintain GRPA internal relations network and SSC relationships to deliver quality service on time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree, strong background in Financial Management or equivalent, CPA preferred
Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience
Knowledge or experience in using Hyperion planning tools, Oracle, Peoplesoft, ERP System tool, Data visualization tools is preferred
Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills
Strong documentation skills
Good attention to detail
Strong motivational skills
Must have experience in partnering and collaborating with multiple global stakeholders
