Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Operations Manager also acts as the Company Chemist is responsible for supervising day-to-day operations to ensure technical efficiency in the laboratory and operations to achieve higher productivity output.
The position is also responsible for the following:
As Company Chemist:
Act as Qualified/Authorized Personnel for regulatory agencies i.e. FDA (licensed required)
Creates technical files for products like Safety Data Sheet, Batch Formulation Sheet, and Raw Material costing (Bill of Materials) during product development process
Signs and approves issued Certificate of Analysis (COA) documents per production batch
Ensures compliance of laboratory to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) with QA/QC Officer/Analyst
Conducts investigation and corrective action and preventive action plan for non-conformance/quality issues with QA/QC Officer/Analyst
Approves/qualifies alternative raw materials, laboratory testing procedures, and setting lab parameters
Sets standard product specifications and required QC testing/inspection methods for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products based on studies during product development process
Coordinated with SCPA Product Development Team for all product concerns and development on each product development stage (from the brief up to industrial production), sharing timing and planning of the project
Conducts research and sourcing for new or alternative raw materials
Conducts/leads small scale lab mixing and testing of formulations
Prepares experimental formulas for testing and evaluation per marketing requirements, implements R&D for new and existing product formulations
Coordinates samples for client requested tests: stability testing, preservative efficacy testing, microbiological testing
As Operations Supervisor/Manager
Relaying information, company direction and concerns (if there are any) between employees and senior executives to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood
Evaluating various stations of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency
Create and implement schedules, procedures, policies and work instructions to ensure operational efficiency
Create and implement schedules, procedures, policies and work instructions to ensure operational efficiency
Ensuring the efficient supply chain flow of raw materials and other resources
Organizing training and educational manuals for the production team
Ensuring compliance with safety and professional standards within the facility
Direct and monitor employees work, including resource allocation and level of performance and provide performance feedback
Assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of new hires
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
With Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Operations Management, Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or equivalent
License as Chemist/Chemical Engineer is required
With at least 2 years experience in manufacturing and/or operations, chemical background is required
Must have strong financial management, conflict management, and excellent leadership skills and people management
Must be willing to report onsite from Monday - Saturday, 7am-4pm
Must be willing to work in Bagumbayan, Taguig City
