Job Description Reporting Line This position reports to the Business Director and directly supervises the Junior Operations Executives, Technical Operations Assistant, Senior Inspectors, Inspectors, office staff, office associates and coordinates w Job Description Reporting Line This position reports to the Business Director and directly supervises the Junior Operations Executives, Technical Operations Assistant, Senior Inspectors, Inspectors, office staff, office associates and coordinates with the Technical Sales Executive. Primary Responsibilities In-charge of organizing the day-to-day activities of the division and for assisting the Division Manager in the controlling function. Specific Responsibilities Organizes day-to-day operations and assists the Business Director in controlling operational activities of the division. Performs various supervisory and administrative duties. These include but are not limited to recommending changes in division policies, procedures and practices for continuous improvement, identifying staff requirements of his/her unit, screening and interviewing short-listed candidates for hiring, training subordinates, recommending personnel movement and salary changes, work distribution and delegation, performance evaluation, and disciplining. Ensures implementation of his/her unit's quality management systems including addressing Nonconformities raised. Performs technical jobs in the absence of the subordinates. Reviews and approves reports related to his/her unit. Performs other related duties as may be assigned to achieve respective section's goals or for own personal, or professional training, education or development as programmed by the immediate supervisor. Recommendatory authority on matters related to product development, pricing, promotion and place to improve market position for verification services. Approval of attendance records and overtime sheets. Recommendatory authority on matters related to staff that will enable him/her to execute any of the above-mentioned functions. Recommend corrective action for staff misconduct involving penalties of up to five working days and recommendatory authority for more than five working days penalties. Operate to the highest standards of ethics in accordance with the SGS Statement of Integrity Complies with the Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and Energy (QHSEE) policies and supporting objectives including, but not limited to: o Demonstrates strong obligation to SGS QHSEE policies, procedures and work instructions by actively participating in meetings, projects and events, completes required training, intervenes in unsafe situations, refuses unsafe work, and complies fully with all applicable laws and regulations related to HSEE o Perform appropriately and immediately to emergency situations and assists other staff members in maintaining readiness to respond to emergencies within the workplace o Disposes or directs the disposal of waste generated as a part of daily work performed in a safe manner and in compliance with the disposal regulations and requirements, and in accordance with SGS Environmental Management System requirements o Reports all incidents, including near misses and hazards, that may affect the achievement of QHSEE objectives in accordance with SGS Incident Reporting and Management requirements o Efficiently uses all equipment, including safety equipment, and company owned property in the manner intended and reports any damaged / lost equipment to immediate superior o Maintains a safe and tidy worksite according to the organization's 5S program and guidelines o Maintains awareness of the safety and health related hazards and environmental aspects and proposes action plans to control the risks to immediate superior or QHSEE Coordinators o Actively participates in incident investigations and risk assessments as deemed necessary by SGS management o Fulfills the requirements needed in the success of the QHSEE Management System o Recognizes the potential consequences of not following the established policies, procedures, and guidelines, including not fulfilling the organization's compliance obligations Profile Education: College graduate (any Engineering Course) Experience: 3 years related technical experience and 1 year supervisory experience in related field (preferably with leadership role: Supervisory or Team Lead) Required Skills Organizing, human relations, communication and computer skills (excel, word, power point) Attention to details with strong analytical skills judgment and problem-solving skills Language Fluent in English (both written and verbal) Qualifications Profile Education: College graduate (any Engineering Course) Experience: 3 years related technical experience and 1 year supervisory experience in related field (preferably with leadership role: Supervisory or Team Lead) Required Skills Organizing, human relations, communication and computer skills (excel, word, power point) Attention to details with strong analytical skills judgment and problem-solving skills Language Fluent in English (both written and verbal) Additional Information Can work under pressure and easily can communicate with team and customers.
