Job Summary
The basic duty and responsibility of the position is to contribute to the delivery of quality and safety of product consistent with the vision, mission and values of Gourmet Food Manufacturing Corporation.
The Operations Manager is responsible for the operational functions of the company, monitor the quality of work and ensure to deliver maximum quality in a profitable manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Works with Unit Managers in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the company including scheduling, determining labor requirements, material selection, shipping arrangements, production reporting and coordination and supervision of personnel.
2. Provides solutions and guidance needed to drive employee safety, food safety, quality, and overall performance.
3. Ensures plant safety through compliance of safety standards as issued by company safety committee and that health and safety regulation in the Operations are followed.
4. Achieves compliance for product quality, food safety, and food defense as issued by the QA Unit while maintaining overall efficiency.
5. Manages materials, packaging and raw materials such that all materials are available to meet scheduling requirements on a timely basis by working closely with Purchasing Officer.
6. Initiates actions to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, or the quality system and recommend or provide solutions to correct any deficiencies.
7. Controls further processing or delivery of non-conforming products until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
8. Fosters an environment that embraces continuous process improvement of the facilities, processes, and personnel.
9. Coordinates with Operations Unit Managers and Supervisors to ensure employee performance reviews are conducted, reflecting accurate goals and performance.
10. Schedule and conduct meetings with the Unit Managers and related staff.
11. Manages cost and manufacturing components such as package materials, raw ingredients, fixed and variable labor, quality, efficiency, reliability, scrap, rework, energy, safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
12. Documents procedures for third-party monitoring.
13. Reviews workloads and manpower to ensure targets are met.
14. Supports the President/CEO or Executive Team's vision and process ideals.
15. Performs other duties/tasks that maybe assigned from time to time.

Academic/Professional Qualifications:
College Graduate preferably Science Related Course (BS Food Technology, BS Microbiology, BS Biology, BS Industrial Engineer)
Relevant Experience:
With at least three years of relevant working experience in quality control or quality assurance work.
