Job Purpose.
As the Online Learning Advisor, you will deliver a suite of facilitated online courses ("eWorkshops") for WV field-based technical staff worldwide, in a way that ensures a high-quality, engaging and effective learning experience for all participants. This includes set-up and maintenance of course instances on the learning platform (Moodle, Workday) coordination and coaching subject-matter expert facilitators to support eworkshops; monitoring participant engagement and supporting them with technical and administrative issues; and ongoing evaluation and update of the courses (with support from designers and subject-matter experts). Support the development of new course materials, and seek to optimise our use of Moodle and Workday learning technologies.
Major Responsibilities
Course Management
Coordinate multiple e-workshops simultaneously
Support the identification and recruitment of Subject Matter Expert (SME) facilitators
Support the re / design of orientations and e-Workshops.
Set up and update course sites in Moodle according to Technical Academy style guide in preparation for e-Workshop launch
Design elements are produced (Rise/Storyline Modules, Facilitator Guide etc) as needed
Orient e-facilitators and establish e-workshop facilitation teams, setting up an enabling environment for e-facilitators to collaborate and communicate throughout e-workshops
Work alongside SME facilitators to create a learning environment that is welcoming, conducive to active participation and group collaboration
Monitor participant engagement, including daily monitoring of forums and activities, following up with participants and managers as required
Engage in daily communication with SME facilitators via MS Teams to coordinate activities / responses to participants as needed
Facilitate of scheduled meetings with facilitation team
Monitor SME facilitator contributions, providing mentoring, coaching and constructive feedback as required to ensure consistent high-quality engagement and facilitation
Administer, coordinate and moderate any synchronous learning events using zoom
Undertake end of secondment facilitator reflections meetings reporting back to the Global Manager Online Learning, Project Model Lead and the e-facilitators manager.
Produce timely e-workshop evaluation reports
Continue to build e-facilitator capacity through leveraging and contributing to the Technical Academy e-facilitator network
End to End Training Administration and Communications
Participation in and contribution to course planning
Oversight/coordination of end to end training administration and communication
Marketing planning, coordination (with course owners), systems and templates tracking and development of guidance documents/ manual
Enrollments coordination, communication systems and development of guidance documents/ manual
Coordination of internal and external fee payments, systems and development of guidance documents/manual
Contract and people management (Consultants, eFacilitators and Subject Matter Experts) including coordination, systems tracking and development of guidance documents/manual
Management of Technical Academy training page on WVCentral and external sites
Provide oversight support to Operations Assistant in TA mail box administration, newsletters articles preparation, enrollment tracking and direct charges preparations
Course Quality Improvement
Keep up to date with World Visions development approaches (Project Models) via internal channels including Newsletters, Communities of Practice and attending webinars / forums etc
Establish and maintain contact with Project Model Leads and key Subject Matter Experts through Learning Pathway Focus Group
Identify and share efficiencies in eworkshop administration / coordination
Monitor online learning offerings for Project Model alignment, seeking timely input from Project Model Lead, Subject Mater Experts and Participants
Work with Subject Matter Experts and online learning designers to update learning resources / activities that drive performance and continually increase program effectiveness
Stay up to date with latest Moodle / Learning Technologies developments to make course updates and provide guidance to learners
Participants in quality improvements through course managers forums
Team collaboration
Contribute to Technical Academy online learning strategy
Contribute to the ongoing evolution of online learning approach and processes
Establish and strengthen linkages and networks with relevant WV communities of practice and experts, stakeholders and partners
Contribute to team projects and activities
Participate in team's meetings, one on one meetings, and represent team in relevant sectorial meetings
Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience.
Bachelor's degree (in one of the following or related disciplines: International Development, Human Resources Management, Adult Learning, Business Management)
At least 2-3 years' experience working with e-learning systems and a detailed understanding of at least one
Proficiency in using email, MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Familiarity with Teams / similar online collaboration software.
WVI Technical Sector knowledge and / or experience (Education, Child Protection & Participation, WASH, Health & Nutrition, Livelihoods, Faith & Development, Social Accountability) is an added advantage
Experience in eLearning, Moodle, Articulate is an added advantage
Knowledge of eLearning course administration and editing, including ability to troubleshoot and research solutions independently.
Able to (remotely) build and maintain positive and professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across boundaries of seniority, language and culture.
Experience running events /courses is critical for this role
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Solutions-focused with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
Ability to view mistakes and challenges as learning opportunities
Ability to support translation projects
Great Communication skills.
Work Environment Requirement: Flexible work hours required due to working across time zones. Ability to work from home without distraction.
