Offshore Senior Accountant - Morning Shift
(Temporary/Reliever for 6 Months Contract)
About the Opportunity:
As a result of our senior accountant going on parental leave, we require a driven and enthusiastic accountant who can work as part of a team to deliver an outstanding experience for our clients.
This is a perfect opportunity for an applicant willing to take over the responsibilities of one of our senior accountants whilst she is on maternity leave. Although this position is initially temporary and will last for about 5-6 months, there can be an opportunity for the applicant to be offered a permanent position as the business grows depending on the applicant's overall work performance.
Working in a team, you will focus on accounting, tax and advisory for various business clients, which will expose you to a broad range of industries and structures.
You will be responsible for completing accounting and tax work for business clients to a very high standard and with minimal need for review and revision.
You will communicate daily with your team via video calls and messaging services.
Working in a small team, you will focus on accounting and taxation services such as:
Processing and preparing financial statements for trusts and companies up to the Trial Balance stage
Tax compliance for all entities including trusts, companies and partnerships
Processing Capital Gains Tax, Div 7a, Rental Schedules, conducting investigations and resolving accounting discrepancies
BAS and IAS preparation
Preparation of tax reconciliations/electronic work papers
Prepare and update tax provision schedules
Preparation of a full set of accounts
The role is well suited for an individual looking for a short-term position and wishing to take on a wide range of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, and someone who can work on a portfolio of business clients across different industries and maintain excellent relationships with clients and the teams.
About You:
CPA/CA qualification is preferred
Minimum of 3+ years of business services accounting in an Australian accounting firm
Excellent knowledge of Xero, Workflow Max and MS Office
Knowledge of Asana, Deputy, Hubdoc and other add-ons desirable
Can quickly learn how to use new software and programmes
Extremely high attention to detail
A committed, and flexible attitude
Must have strong communication skills, an excellent work ethic and can work both independently and as part of a team
Highly organised and able to plan and prioritise daily tasks in a fast-paced environment
A fun, friendly and positive attitude and a great willingness to learn
Must be available to start working on the 6th of November 2023

A desire to continue to learn and build on your knowledge of Australian accounting and taxation.
