The Risk Policy Analyst II is a developing professional role. Applies specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data. Identifies policy gaps and formulates policies. Interprets data and makes recommendations. Researches and interprets factual information. Identifies inconsistencies in data or results, defines business issues and formulates recommendations on policies, procedures or practices. Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Develops working knowledge of industry practices and standards. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own team.
Responsibilities:
Loans Risk Reporting Officer position will be responsible for day-to-day activity (data base generation, MIS/reporting generation, portfolio analysis and policy monitoring) in the Ready Credit (Loans) Policy Unit
Help assist the Policy Manager to manage portfolio policy for the respective products, focusing on healthy organic portfolio growth through existing and in-process portfolio programs
Utilizes Statistical Analysis System (SAS) to perform risk, financial and data analyses including profiling, sampling, reconciliation, and quality testing.
Provides timely and accurate MIS (i.e. PQR Report, Management decks and local regulatory reports)
Work with Risk/Operations to ensure correct policy implementation on an operational level
Provide supporting data & analytics at on portfolio level and segment level for the purpose of monitoring & policy adjustment to policy with the ultimate goal of managing risk and maximizing rewards
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Participates in preparing regular and time-sensitive ad-hoc deliverables to the Country Risk team, regulators and senior management, closely working with various Risk and Finance units.
Qualifications:
1-3 years experience in Statistics/Analytics/Decision Management or any related field
Background in SAS will be desirable
Strong analytical skills
Ability to perform analysis to support decisions on matters pertaining to aspects of risk, especially on credit risk
Able to work in a team and across teams with people from diverse backgrounds
Able to work in a rapidly changing external environment and support the business in a highly competitive and challenging market
Able to work under pressure in high risk scenario
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Economics or equivalent experience
