About IRRI

Job Purpose
Under the general guidance of the Senior Manager for Content and Brand, develop, produce and maintain graphic and multimedia collateral adherent to set graphic and visual design standards. Coordinate with IRRI units and collaborators regarding the content of collaterals and contribute to the development of communication plans. Provide assistance in terms of photography and videography to document Institute events and activities.
This position will be based at the IRRI Headquarters, Los Baños, Philippines and may only be filled by permanent citizens of the Philippines.
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop, produce and maintain graphic and multimedia collaterals adherent to set graphic and visual design standards to consistently and clearly communicate IRRI's brand identity, positioning and messaging
Coordinate with other IRRI units and Communication subunits, collaborators, and general public regarding production of multimedia collaterals
Provide technical assistance in graphic and multimedia design, artwork preparation, slide and multimedia production, web design and presentation for communication and marketing products highlighting IRRI branding and positioning
Translate conceptual ideas into concrete designs for print, presentation, multimedia and web products
Conceptualize and develop infographics to transform scientific data and research into design for print and online collaterals
Implement creative strategies with the guidance of the Associate Manager - Branding
Update and maintain digital archive of design and graphic assets
Provide assistance in photography and videography to support documentation of Institute events and activities as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Design, Visual Communication, or related field with minimum 3 years relevant experience in creative and design work, electronic publishing and/or multimedia production
Skills Required
Mandatory
Proven skills in design, computer graphics, web design applications and multimedia production
Proficient in the use of multimedia applications such as CS (inDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe (PageMaker), Macromedia Freehand and Flash, MS Office Suite or other related software
Preferred
Knowledge of photography and videography
