Functions and Allocation
Functions:
Under supervision performs the following:
Checks and receives articles from outgoing aide;
Account for all linens during her shift and endorses to the next shift;
Attends morning, afternoon and evening rounds with the ward nurses;
Assists in giving morning and afternoon care;
Feeds patients who cannot eat by themselves;
Give/performs simple treatment like perineal care, SS enema, and other treatment.
Takes and charts vital signs and record.
Measures fluid intake, output and record.
Provides specimen vials/cups; collect urine and stool specimen and sends to the laboratory;
Shaves patient for surgery;
Provides clean linen, pillows and makes bed; serves and empties bed pass.
Maintains clean linens and orderliness of the patient's unit at all times;
Tidy beds and bedside tables, counters, cabinets and bedside chairs.
Removes all used and discontinued equipment from patient areas and cleans and return them to utility room.
Performs other related function as maybe assigned.
