Job Description
Position Title: News Writer I, Real Estate and Private Equity
The Team :
Our newsroom is dedicated to delivering readers actionable news on financial markets around the world. You will have the opportunity to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and to develop a close team dynamic with co-workers from around the globe.
The Impact :
The Newswriter plays an essential role in writing and publishing top-quality news stories that reach an audience of decision-makers. You will have the opportunity to hone your writing skills, work with S&P Global's extensive in-house data sets and gain industry knowledge in specific business sectors.
Responsibilities:
Write daily/weekly features for Real Estate and Private Equity
Identify strong story angels for data-driven stories leveraging S&P Global's extensive in-house data sets
Vetting company websites, stock exchange feeds, newswires and other sources to gather and monitor information
Initiative to grow own industry knowledge, drawing on in-house training tools and other resources
Collaborate with journalists across the globe
Interview industry sources for commentary on data pieces
Build and expand network of industry experts
What We're Looking For:
A proactive attitude and a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
A strong interest in business news and data journalism
Strong initiative and collaboration skills
Requirements:
A Bachelor's/College Degree, Journalism, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Mass Communications or equivalent
At least 1 year of news writing experience
A high level grasp of English language grammar.
Outstanding communication skills
Open to working from 2pm to 10pm PHT / 11:30 AM - 8:30 PM IST
