Job Description Performs actual (Transport or Fixed) capacity allocation, end to end provisioning both logical and physical, support at NMS center during provisioning, testing and troubleshooting of all the required circuits supporting business needs.
Performs end-to-end test of provisioned FOC facilities.
Maintains Network Element and ODF inventory/database.
Submits activity progress reports.
FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES
Possesses the following technical skills and competencies:
- Knowledge on IPRAN Transport and Access (MSAN/ GPON) IPPDH, Copper, SDH and Fiber Transmission.
- Ability to operate essential test equipment for provisioning (e.g. BER Tester, Ethernet Testers, OTDR, Power Meters, etc
- Basic Wireless, Wireline Access and Transport NEs commissioning integration and troubleshooting knowledge.
- Competence in circuit provisioning, mapping/ configuration and end-to-end testing and troubleshooting via NMS or by local craft terminal.
- Ability to interpret Network Diagram and topology, EWPs and has a basic understanding on the functionalities of each critical transmission and mobile network elements.
- Basic knowledge and competence in IP Network and configuration (Layer 2 and Layer 3).
