Monitors network stability and performance using variety of network monitoring tools such as (Cacti, MRTG, Nagios, Pin plotter, etc.).
documents all network issues and resolutions in detail using our ticketing system.
Provide level 1 to Level 2 troubleshooting that includes network analysis, line testing and checking of network devices/configuration.
Raise and drive trouble tickets with telecommunications service providers as well as with the hardware vendors to resolve service issues.
When problems are too large or complex for quick troubleshooting, NOC Engineers escalate the issue to management. other IT resources or 3rd party vendors for assistance in reaching a resolution.
Deploys network devices for new offices.
Perform scheduled configuration changes to network.
Perform OS upgrades.
Report operational state of the network on a daily, weekly and monthly basis Continuous development of knowledge and skills in network and system administration, particularly in regard to product architecture and platforms.
Proactively raises risks and implements fixes and changes as needed to keep small problems from becoming big problem.
