NOC engineers are people with strong analytical thinking and skills at solving problems. They are able to assess a situation and determine tactical steps and can contribute in implementing a team strategic plan. Their job includes;
Network Management and Configuration
Maintenance and Monitoring of the System
Troubleshooting of network issues
Disconnection/Reconnection
Change of Configuration/Services
Technical Reports
Research and Development
A. Network Management and ConfigurationManagement of IP network
Management of ONU, Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer and end user setup and Mikrotik/other vendor.
Coordination with other departments (PPID & OP/PIFM) for the new installations
Support pre-sales for client technical requirement
Configuration and provisioning of VLAN, Port and IP Address (IPv4 & IPv6)
Traffic shaping (Queue, Bursting, Committed information Rate)
Configuration of router/switch, modem/ONU (CPE)
B. Maintenance and Monitoring of the System
Monitoring of IP network systems
Monitor the performance and capacity of ports
Monitor hardware, software, and environmental alerts or malfunctions.
Monitor system performance and implements performance tuning
Pro-active monitoring of end to end Service Provider/Nodes
Traffic monitoring and setup via MRTG
Prepare technical advisory reports through emerald and viber
C. Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting of connection issues
Address technical issues on Emerald
Analyze and evaluate issues
Provide secondary support to CRM
Coordinating with other IT Teams/ Department (PPID/Wireless & OPEM)
Escalate other issues to other team
D. Disconnection of Services
Disconnection/Reconnection of subscribers
E. Change of Configuration/Services
Modification of Services (Bandwidth Upgrade/Downgrade/BOD/Wifi Request)
F. Technical Reports
Prepare technical advisory, track and document all issues and resolutions in detail
Consolidate and validate reports
G. Research and Development
Research new technologies
Explore new techniques and innovations
Resourcefulness on finding solutions
Attend trainings and seminars
Job Qualifications
Completed a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or BS Computer Engineering
Relevant and strong exposure to IP Networks. CCNA or related certification. Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply.

Management of EMS (Provisioning Software) - GPON/EPON Management
Management of Network Operating System (Router OS/IOS/Junos)
Network diagram
Configuration of VLAN, Port and IP Address (IPv4 & IPv6)

Traffic Shaping (Queue, Bursting, Committed information Rate)
