Main Accountabilities: Network Automation and Orchestration
Essential Functions: (1) Utilize automation tools and scripting skills to automate network provisioning and changes, predict and resolve incidents and assist in troubleshooting. (2) Develop and maintain tools to improve network reliability and performance, improve deployment time (zero touch provisioning), ensure compliance to network standards and to assist in troubleshooting / remediation of network issues. (3) Document processes, procedures, and scripting standards - sharing and driving these across the network teams.
Additional Functions: Project Implementation, Incident Escalation and Service Request Fulfillment as required by the Management.
General Knowledge and Competencies:
Hands-on experience with multi-vendor Networking, Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and its troubleshooting.
This include routers, switches, wireless controllers, next-gen firewalls, load balancers, and other network/security appliances.
Coding and Automation tools experience with Ansible, Python, PowerShell, GiT, API/REST, and others.
Knowledge on YANG modeling, NETCONF protocol, JSON, YAML and Postman.
Experience in UNIX or Linux environment (Ubuntu, CentOS), JunOS, IOS, IOS-XR or any network vendor CLI is desired.
Engineering and administration experience with Network support tools such as LiveNx, NetBrain, vManage, InfoBlox and others.
Knowledge of Cisco's SD-WAN Viptela and Cloud Networking are certainly a plus.
Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize and lead projects is a necessity.
Ability to analyze complex situations and utilize troubleshooting skills, systems and tools, and creative problem-solving abilities under pressure.
Ability to work within and lead projects in a fast-paced environment.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
At least 4 years of industry experience on Network Engineering and/or Operations handling complex and large-scale networks (LAN, WAN, Data Center, Cloud environments).
At least 2 years of proven experience on Network automation/orchestration.
Other eligibility qualifications
CCNA DevNet or other coding certifications is desired.
CCNA or equivalent certifications is a plus.
