NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR
Responsibilities:
• Evaluate, plan and recommend network solutions that meet business requirements
• Setup, implement and maintain routers, firewalls, VPN appliances, switches, PABX and other network devices
• Setup network monitoring systems to proactively determine the network performance such as availability, utilization, throughput, faults, etc. and perform remedial measures as needed
• Conduct regular review of logs to determine any indication of network errors, security threats /vulnerabilities, performance degradation and other related problems and resolve accordingly
• Conduct regular testing of network for weaknesses and vulnerabilities and apply remediation or permanent resolutions to mitigate network security issues
• Provide technical assistance to user community and project teams
• Conduct troubleshooting and apply corrective measures according to the planned resolutions
• Design, develop and implement network backup and disaster recovery procedures
• Install, implement and maintain security measures to protect against network intrusions and malicious attacks
• Develop and maintain all network related documentations relating to network configuration, security policies, operating procedures and vendor support records and others
• Implement network architecture using the best IT practices
Qualifications:
• Candidate must be a Bachelor's/College Degree of Computer Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 5 year(s) working experience in supporting enterprise network and security infrastructure with a strong understanding of TCP/IP and DNS, routing, VLANs, packet filtering, port security, and traffic engineering.
• Working experience/knowledge in the configuration of firewalls, NAT, URL filtering, QoS, SSLVPN, Site-to-Site IPsec VPN
• Practical knowledge of Asterisk PBX, SIP, call management, and other voice-related technology
• Must have experience or working knowledge in installing, troubleshooting and maintaining network configurations for the following operating systems:
- Windows server (2003,2008,2012,2016)
- Unix/Linux environment as well as open-source applications
- Virtualization technology (VMWARE, HYPER V, Open stack)
• Experience with 24x7 network and system monitoring suites
• Familiarity with Public Cloud solutions (AWS, AZURE, Google Cloud)
• Experience in managing vendors (ISP, hardware vendors)
• Proven experience in security
• Strong problem solving and decision-making capabilities
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Experience in ITIL and project management is highly desirable
• Ability to interact/build positive relationships
• Ability to articulate technical concepts and/or procedures
• Must be self-motivated, committed, and willing to learn
• Amenable to work in shifting schedule, if required
