The Commitment
Develop solutions in the following lines of business - Services, Products and Integration
Write new software code, make modifications to existing software code, or integrate software applications and modules in accordance with agreed upon specifications, created in partnership with others
Participate in planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements, provide design options, and provide work breakdown and estimates of work.
Provide timely status updates for areas of individual responsibilities within projects to supervisor
Develop code using disciplined code development processes, adhering to software best practice guidelines, and corporate policies.
Ability to engage customers, negotiate sensible and favorable requirements, execute design documentation, communication of understanding and results.
Work with the consulting team and the clients to resolve issues uncovered during integration and user acceptance testing.
Create, review, and maintain all required technical documentation/ manual related to assigned software to ensure supportability and reuse.
Assist in the identification and implementation of short-term and long-term solution options, including risk assessments.
Assist with improvements to prevent problems, including problem resolution workflow
The Essentials
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent experience
Masters Degree is a plus
5+ years of experience developing and managing NetSuite applications
5 years of relevant experience as a Developer or Technical Consultant
Experience in JavaScript and XML coding
Experience in PHP along with knowledge of HTML
Strong NetSuite programming, business, and administrator know-how
Understanding of billing, payments, A/R, general ledger, revenue recognition, planning, audit, and reporting
Can exercise strong problem-solving skills, and analytical thinking
Ability to collaborate and brainstorm with business analysts and other developers in a dynamic team environment
Experience in SuiteBuilder, SuiteScript and SuiteScript API, SuiteBundler, SuiteFlow, SCA and SuiteTalk
SuiteTax API know-how a great plus
Understanding of the NetSuite SAFE practices
Preferred to have experience with NetSuite Plug-in model for customization.
Designing applications and familiar with design patterns
Proficient in NetSuite Scripting for the NetSuite ERP Platform
Working knowledge or experience on integration platforms such as Celigo (Integrator.io), Dell Boomi, SPS etc is considered an asset.
