Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design and develop solutions from high level business requirements using best practice and coding standards
• Collaborate with other areas of the business in developing and testing enhancements, bug fixes and new features
• Participate in code reviews
Qualifications and Experience:
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Hands-on development skills in both ASP.NET Webforms and the MVC framework
• Experience with ASP.NET Core
• Database design and performance optimisation skills:
SQL Server 2014+
Stored Procedures, triggers, functions, etc.
• Experience and solid understanding of common design patterns: separation of concern, n-tier, MVC, Singleton, Factory, Dependency Injection
• Experience with one or more ORM systems: nHibernate, Castle Active Records, Entity Framework, etc.
• Knowledgeable of web standards, technologies and best practices
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery
WCF, WebAPI, RESTful and SOAP web services
• Experience in Agile development: Unit testing, pair programming and code reviews
• Experience with one or more source control systems: TFS, GIT, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Skills:
• Experience or exposure to major financial and/or document management systems: SharePoint, SAP, etc.
• Experience in Software Configuration Management / Deployment: Nant, MSBuild, WIX; batch, VBS and PowerShell scripts
• Experience with reporting packages: Crystal reports, SSRS
• Load testing, performance analysis and tuning
