Our client provides mobile healthcare services in Melbourne, Australia.
Most of their clients are elderly and in nursing homes.
They are seeking an admin assistant with previous Australian Medicare billing experience.
You will be assisting with the following:
Reconciling Medicare payments
Reconciling invoices to gap and Medicare receipts
Contacting Medicare to identify which payments are for which claims
Any other billing and Medicare tasks as required.
You will also be required to assist / backfill when the other admin staff are on leave or away.
These tasks are general admin tasks and include:
Taking request forms, data entry
Making bookings, dispatching jobs to technicians
Sending reports
Confirming bookings
Confirming request details
Invoicing
Receipting
Speaking to customers over the phone - this is not done in the initial phase, but will eventually be part of the role
Requirements
MUST have prior experience with Australian Medicare billing process
MUST have some medical background
Strong verbal and written English skills
Must have experience handling customers through phone
High level of patience and tolerance on the phone
Computer savvy
Prior experience in the medical industry will be preferred

Excellent organisational and time management skills
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks
Excellent working PC/Laptop
