NAVAL ARCHITECT
Tasks & Responsibilities
Gathering the necessary measurements, dimensions, and other routine calculations for design layouts.
Using CAD software and manual drawing techniques to produce architectural plans for management and client approval.
Reworking and modifying designs based on comments and reviews from management.
Providing management with estimates on cost, time, machinery, construction, and other specifications.
Ensuring that the design is economical and functional and that the vessel or structure is safe and seaworthy.
Carrying out assessments and analysis including stability and hydrodynamics
Evaluate how ships perform during trials, both in the dock and at sea, and change designs as needed to make sure that national and international standards are met.
Develop sectional and waterline curves of the ships hull to establish the center of gravity, the ideal hull form, and data on buoyancy and stability.
Requirements
You have a Bachelors degree in Naval Architecture
At least 3 years of relevant professional experience acting in a similar capacity
You have a HIGH sense of urgency
Must be fluent in English
You are willing to apply, share and deepen your knowledge
You are quality conscious
You have good communication skills
Advance Knowledge in Autocad, Rhino and Maxsurf software
Knowledge of Composites is a plus
