Reports to the OI / Operational Integrity Director
Primary Responsibilities
▪ Ensures that the team's objectives and expectations are met and that team members are performing effectively
and in line with the organization's policies and directions
▪ Imparts technical expertise as leader, trainer, internal lead auditor and/or team member, and as auditee in the
organization's management systems, such as but not limited to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, 50001, ISO 45001, ISO
17025, ISO 17020
▪ Maintains, continually improves, and ensures compliance with the organization's national quality, health, safety,
environmental and energy (QHSEE) management systems, such as but not limited to ISO 9001, ISO 14001,
50001, ISO 45001, ISO 17025, ISO 17020
▪ Ensures the achievement of the division's objectives and targets aligned with the corporate directives by leading
and actively participating in the different Corporate Social Responsibility activities and other activities led by the
OMD
Specific Responsibilities
Ensures and oversees the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of the organization's
national quality, health, safety, environmental and energy (QHSEE) Management Systems of the
organization
Consolidates and reports performance in Quality, Environment & Energy Management Systems
performance indicators (KRIs & KPIs) to top management and employees, and regularly updates NMS
share point site on such information
Ensures the National Integrated Management Systems (IMS) manual for Quality, Health and Safety,
Environment, and Energy and other national documents are updated and reviewed regularly for changes.
Provides guidance in reviewing and finalizing relevant Management System documents prior approval of
the Managing Director
Visits and inspects company facilities & installations on a regular basis and assess the status of compliance
on QHSEE requirements, including possible hazards and near misses
Facilitates monthly QHSEE meetings and other meetings related to the management systems
Identifies, conceptualizes and implements various strategies to help drive the organization towards its goals.
This may include, but not limited to: non-conformity resolutions management, innovation, training and
awareness of all employees and compliance to obligations requirements of relevant standards
Ensures that operations meet all applicable laws and regulations, and other compliance obligation through
regular legislation monitoring and compliance evaluations
Participates in incident investigations involving personnel within the business/function line by giving
guidance to root cause analyses and/or other related methodologies, for correction and corrective actions
Participates in the annual internal audit programme of the organization as team leader or team member,
and provides opportunities for improvement to the auditees as necessary
Oversees the MS-related audits conducted within the organization, and ensures all Management Systems
related audits and incidents using the Crystal Non Conformity Report module and monitors timely closure
through follow up with concerned teams
Coordinates and cooperates with the other divisions on the improvement of the overall QHSEE
Management Systems of the organization
Oversees and performs necessary ISO training awareness and other related initiatives for the continuous
improvements of the Management Systems, in liaison with the business and or function lines, to new and
existing employees
Provides feedback and updates on the status or progress of completion of the ISO awareness trainings to
QHSEEs and Business Directors, as necessary
Consolidates inputs and evaluates data to come up with a conclusion on the Integrated Management
Systems performance (i.e. achievement of objectives and compliance evaluation) for management review
Over-all in charge of the National Management Review Meeting, and facilitates the meeting with the NMS
Team, Business Directors and/or QHSEE Representatives
Initiates, organizes and oversees programs that would benefit the society and the environment while
boosting the SGS brand and reputation
Coordinates with the Corporate Marketing and Communications (CMC) team for marketing strategies and
collaterals necessary for the project (including email announcements, banners, etc.)
Provides relevant information required by the Corporate Sustainability Report such as the total no. of
community hours, etc.
Consolidates and reports the result of the Customer Satisfaction Survey to the different businesses for
continual improvement of the services offered
Operates to the highest standards of ethics in accordance with the SGS Statement of Integrity
Complies with the Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and Energy (QHSEE) policies and supporting
objectives including, but not limited to:
o Demonstrates strong obligation to SGS QHSEE policies, procedures and work instructions by actively
participating in meetings, projects and events, completes required training, intervenes in unsafe
situations, refuses unsafe work, and complies fully with all applicable laws and regulations related to
HSEE
o Perform appropriately and immediately to emergency situations and assists other staff members in
maintaining readiness to respond to emergencies within the workplace
Disposes or directs the disposal of waste generated as a part of daily work performed in a safe manner
and in compliance with the disposal regulations and requirements, and in accordance with SGS
Environmental Management System requirements
o Reports all incidents, including near misses and hazards, that may affect the achievement of QHSEE
objectives in accordance with SGS Incident Reporting and Management requirements
o Efficiently uses all equipment, including safety equipment, and company owned property in the manner
intended and reports any damaged / lost equipment to immediate superior
o Maintains a safe and tidy worksite according to the organization's 5S program and guidelines
o Maintains awareness of the safety and health related hazards and environmental aspects and proposes
action plans to control the risks to immediate superior or QHSEE Coordinators
o Actively participates in incident investigations and risk assessments as deemed necessary by SGS
management
o Fulfills the requirements needed in the success of the QHSEE Management System
o Recognizes the potential consequences of not following the established policies, procedures, and
guidelines, including not fulfilling the organization's compliance obligations
Complies with SGS Group policies, including but not limited to: Business Principles, Code of Integrity,
Rules for Life, Operational Integrity Management System, Sustainability, and the like
Qualifications
Education: Degree holder of any 4-year engineering course
▪ Experience:
o Minimum of 5 years experience in establishing and implementing Management Systems, particularly in
ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, OHSAS 18001 /
ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System, and ISO 50001 Energy Management
System
o Has successfully completed the Lead Auditors Training Course in any of the mentioned MS
Experience/Technical Knowledge
▪ Background in quality assurance-related field or projects in a management role
▪ Practical knowledgeable in various ISO standards, as well as statutory and regulatory requirements
▪ Has a strong documentation, auditing and training skills
▪ Has the ability to make professional judgements, with strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills
▪ Experience in project management, Lean Six Sigma or any process improvement methodology is an advantage
Has the ability to manage time and deadlines
▪ Has the ability to work with various cross-cultural people and able to work independently as well as
collaboratively, in accordance with established processes
▪ Knowledgeable in basic machines, tools, instruments and equipment used for testing and inspection is an
advantage
▪ Knowledgeable in the different Microsoft office system applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word or any related
desktop applications
