National Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY
The National Coordinator will form part of the team that will support the implementation of the Community, Conservation, and Natural Climate Solutions Initiative in Palawan (the Project) and will report to the Project Lead. They will provide support in data gathering, conducting consultations, and coordinating with the stakeholders to complete the required deliverables. The National Coordinator is based in Quezon City, Philippines, with occasional field missions to the project site.
RESPONSIBILITIES
They are expected to undertake the following tasks:
Provide support to, and liaise with all key national and international project executing partners and stakeholders, based on guidance from the Project Lead.
Coordinate project concerns with the national and regional offices of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS), National Commission of Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), Climate Change Commission (CCC), and partner civil society organizations.
Arrange meetings, draft communications and other correspondence, help organize and conduct events, document meetings, and workshops, and prepare, maintain and update a directory of partners at the national and regional levels.
Assist the Project Lead in facilitation and consultation meetings with key stakeholders including administration, logistics, and documentation support.
Implement the activities in accordance with CI's policies and established business processes.
Keep records and documentation of the meetings and events conducted.
Research:
Support the Project Lead in all data gathering and research requirements of the project;
Support the preparation of presentations and reports, with data gathered from partners and consultants.
Coordination:
Report directly to and assist the Project Lead in the smooth facilitation and implementation of deliverables,
In coordination with the team members, ensure that due dates and submission requirements are adhered to and within the appropriate timeline and budget.
Responsible for coordinating all services performed by CI/CIPFI's personnel, agents, employees, and contractors involved in this project.
Facilitate procurement of approved items; ensure proper storage of procured items.
Perform general administrative duties for the NCR-based project team of CI including but not limited to printing, photocopying, mailing (courier).
Assist, when necessary, in the identification of and negotiation with local vendors and other procurement-related tasks for project activities conducted in Metro Manila and elsewhere in the region.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is based in Quezon, Phillippines.
Work may be performed in a remote location.
Flexibility to travel occasionally as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Secondary/High School degree.
2 to 4 years of related work experience.
Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
Team player and ability to effectively partner and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Computer proficiency (Word, Excel)
Preferred
A Bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, natural sciences, and/or natural resource management.
