Responsibilities:
Write, research and pitch stories for BusinessWorld's online properties
Cover events assigned by editors to find news leads and build a network of sources
Attend weekly content planning meetings to discuss potential stories and treatments
Work with editors, producers, artists, and other reporters to develop story ideas into multimedia news packages (e.g. video explainers, photo essays, audio stories, infographics)
Assist in promoting content on BusinessWorld's social media platforms
Skills/Requirements:
Must be able to write clear, focused, and engaging copy under tight deadlines
Willing to learn new skills and be hands-on in various facets of the production cycle
Social media proficiency preferred, as is experienced with content management systems, photo, and video editing applications
Open to working flexible hours and on weekends as required
Has a strong interest in keeping track of industry best practices and sharing them with the rest of the team
Strong analytical and planning skills;
