Responsibilities
As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above
Be involved in the financial management of clients
Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen
Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
Train, coach, and supervise staff
Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Liaise with Service Delivery Leaders on a regular basis to understand and obtain workflow and delivery timetable and client service expectations.
Review work performed by Analysts and Associates and ensures the delivery of services is in accordance with SDC's User Guide instructions as applied to work requests.
Maintain working knowledge of the SDC User Guides and be able to effectively coach Associates and Analysts and resolve issues arising in their work/delivery of services.
Monitor time spent by teams on assigned tasks and manage deadlines.
Adhere to PwC SDC policies and procedures.
Participate in training, coaching and other developmental opportunities for Analysts and Associates on your team and across other teams, where necessary.
Consistently demonstrate teamwork dynamics by leading your team effectively, proactively providing guidance, clarification and feedback to your direct team members and teams across the group, and contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with superiors and subordinates alike.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrate ability to lead or coordinate and display ownership of projects /initiatives.
Present ideas and suggestions on how to improve work processes.
Assign work based on team's availability and capacity.
Demonstrate awareness of the team's work load and communicate resource requirements when appropriate.
Coach staff by providing proactive and constructive feedback in a timely manner in order for them to develop and meet their objectives and improve performance.
Address disciplinary/performance issues and follow through on disciplinary/ performance processes.
Raise appropriate review points and discussion on work done ensuring that Analysts understand and learns.
Point of contact for territory PMOs for updates, issues, escalations from territories.
