Job Description
Motor Industrial Vehicle and Automotive Equipment Maintenance
Repairs, overhauls and maintains light and heavy vehicle engines, transmission and brake systems in accordance with the repairs and maintenance plan duly approved by the Feeds Engineering Manager and/or Reliability Engineer ensuring optimum vehicle performance and longer service life.
Checks and maintains vehicle hydraulic systems, under-chassis components and automotive systems ensuring that defective parts are immediately repaired or replaced if necessary, and that optimum performance is maintained.
Ensures that all vehicles and mobile equipment are safe for operations daily.
Submits to the Reliability Engineer the list of requirements for light & heavy equipment ensuring that correct specifications are indicated and that replacement parts are available as needed.
Logs all vehicle maintenance activities and ensures that maintenance schedule is properly implemented.
Attends emergency repairs and night calls, as necessary.
Other Related Functions
Establishes, maintains, recommends, and implements a good housekeeping program for all areas of responsibility to ensure compliance to food safety standards set by GMP, HACCP & Halal.
Actively participates in company programs and provides support at all times.
Performs related mechanical work as support to the department objective.
Ensures compliance to food safety, good housekeeping and quality management system based on the standards of 5S, GMP, HACCP, Halal and ISO.
Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the immediate superior.
Qualifications
Education:
BS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Experience:
At least three (3) years of experience with maintenance of light & heavy machinery
Licenses:
Must be a Registered Mechanical Engineer
