Primary Purpose
As an Ionic Application Developer, you will be responsible for maintaining an existing cross-platform (Android & iOS) Application.
The Application provides rosters for workers providing service to Community Care Clients in the field, mostly in client homes. The App shows the worker their roster, allows them to start and finish, obtain client signatures, record variances, and comments, make calls, call Google Maps, take photos etc. The app interfaces with a Rest Server
It is expected you will have at least a years of experience with Ionic development.
You will work in partnership with the team, who will in most cases act as the interface between App users and the developer.
There are no immediate plans for the developer to be in regular direct contact with end-users although if that is deemed necessary it will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Requirements:
1-year min experience in the IONIC application
3 years professional experience in development.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
There are a small number of critical bug fixes and enhancements that need to be attended to first.
The App is currently written in Ionic V3. Once the critical bug fixes and enhancements have been completed, the App needs to be upgraded to the current version of Ionic, which is currently 5.
The App interfaces with an in-house Rest Server, that is maintained by another developer. The position requires liaising with this developer, mostly by Trello.
Investigate, research, and respond to any bugs by discussing with Team and review of Rest Server logs.
Analyse Rest Server logs as needed to troubleshoot, identify and resolve problems, using Notepad++ or equivalent.
Suggest changes and improvements to Apps.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, changes made, and customer interactions in line with data protection laws and Company policies
Ensure source code change versions are kept as per Company guidelines.
Take an active role in leading by example and advocating best practice
Contribute to improving existing knowledge management and support continuous improvement by providing suggestions to improve our policies, processes, procedures, and operations
Participate in product and development testing of products produced by the company.
Meet personal and team KPI targets for resolution, processing, SLAs, customer experience, compliance, and operational excellence
Take ownership of your development by maintaining and developing your customer skills, technical skills, and knowledge of current Company products, services, processes, and procedures
