MIS MANAGER
 
Job Description:
 
As an MIS Manager, you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of hardware and software applications for the company to be used for business-critical decision-making. In addition, you will also be responsible for the oversight, management, and training of users.
 
What You Will Do:
Oversees the administration and maintenance of the company's infrastructure.
Analyze business needs and recommend technical solutions
Come up with detailed timelines and implement effective project control for each software release.
Conducts system audits on technologies implemented
Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating outcomes, identifying problems, and anticipating organizational requirements
Administer email and anti-virus systems
Oversees all help desk activities; responds to escalated help desk issues
Builds and maintains vendor relationships and manages the purchase of hardware and software products
Develop and implement policies to ensure data accuracy and security
Perform periodic maintenance and servicing of a system to improve operational efficiency
MIS Management - Overall accountable for MIS project and Activity of Staff
What You Will Need for This Role:
Must have at least 5 years of working experience as an IT Manager
Advanced working knowledge of various computer operating systems and interfaces.
Strong technical skills on:
Data analysis (SQL, crystal reports, business intelligence software, etc.)
Systems and networks
Administering diverse operating systems like Windows, Ubuntu
Installing and configuring computer hardware and software
Maintaining local area networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks
Storage area networks (SAN), and virtual private networks
Troubleshooting; helping employees with technical issues
Programming languages like Java Script, Python, PHP, C#, etc.
Security
Familiarity with physical, network, and software security
Installing firewalls and routers
Data encryption
Risk mitigation strategy and threat analysis
You know you are the perfect fit if you are:
At least a bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or other related courses in Information Technology; or an equivalent combination of education, relevant technical training, or work
Strong knowledge of POS and SAP
Very good project management skills
Experience managing a team.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical, results-, detail- and service-oriented
Can work well under pressure and with minimum supervision
Ability to handle multiple, complex tasks concurrently to accomplish goals.
Ability to show attention to detail and to work in a fast-paced team environment
