The Role
As the MIS Head you will lead the MIS team responsible for supporting the requirements of Wholesale Banking Segment (including all Groups and Subsidiaries under the Segment) in the aspect of strategic planning, performance management, special projects, and day-to-day business and operational reports and dashboards.
How you'll contribute
Leads the MIS team as they work with the Segment Head, Group Heads, and Transformation Head to evaluate business performance and create strategic plans and metrics to attain the goals of Wholesale Banking Segment.
Provides performance management support for the operational, tactical, and strategic needs of Wholesale Banking Segment through (a) monitoring of actual performance against budget; (b) preparing short to medium term financial projections with relevant data analysis; (c) ensuring availability of MIS reports and statistics collected from the Bank's various systems; and (d) performing validation by checking abnormal trends and illogicalities to ensure correct data reporting.
Leads the budget planning for Wholesale Banking Segment and recommends volume and revenue targets in coordination and alignment with the Bank's overall targets.
Builds and designs reports and presentation decks by collaborating with various units of the Bank and collecting relevant information for reporting to Senior Management and other stakeholders.
Streamlines processes involved in collection of data and generation of reports and statistics with a persistent improvement mindset to increase effectiveness and achieve efficiency gains for the team.
Collaborate with various units of the Bank including Finance, Operations, IT, Data Governance, Analytics, etc. to ensure correctness and efficient data reporting and to align with bank wide data and MIS initiatives.
It is accepted and understood that the employee may perform other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Mathematics/Statistics, Business Studies/Administration/Management or any related field.
At least 10 years of experience
Certified Public Accountant (Desirable)
Field of Specialization: Banking and Financial, Corporate Finance/Investment, General/Cost Accounting, Credit (Evaluation/Appraisal), Audit & Taxation, Actuarial/Statistics
Knowledge of accounting and finance concepts
Knowledge of financial modeling; Strong analytical and computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint
Effective interpersonal and communication skills; Conflict management and problem-solving skills
Project management skills; Able to delegate tasks properly; Able to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
Able to digest and simplify technical information and have effective discussions or make effective presentations on it; Able to learn quickly and improve persistently
Keen to details and notices discrepancies/ inconsistencies/ abnormal trends/ illogicalities
