Job Summary
 
A midwife is a medical expert who focuses on assisting women with their pregnancies, deliveries, and recovery from childbirth. By providing expectant mothers with support, education, and medical care, midwives play a critical role in promoting the health of mothers and newborns.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Assess expectant mothers on a regular basis to keep an eye on their progress and general health.
Give advice on healthy eating habits, exercise routines, and prenatal care.
Assist in the delivery of babies, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for both mother and child.
Monitor fetal heartbeat and maternal vital signs during labor.
Provide pain management techniques and emotional support during childbirth.
Conduct postpartum examinations to assess the health of both mother and baby.
Offer guidance on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
Identify and address any postpartum complications or concerns.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
Document prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care details.
Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for mothers and newborns.
Work closely with other members of the healthcare team to address the physical and emotional needs of patients.
