We Need
A Seasoned Investigator
Our mid quality assurance engineer is keen-eyed to spot inaccuracies from a bird's-eye perspective and then swoop down fast to unravel them before the problem realises. You are very hands-on in testing and methodical problem solving regarding the business' products, as well as the development of functionality, regression, and testing solutions, and the development of test plans for both existing and new products.
You're never complacent with scrutinising everything as quality is something that should be checked continuously throughout the process, not just at the end.
You actively take part in the discovery and design phases of new product feature development and promote continuous testing in an attempt to guarantee an error-free final product.
You act as the glue that holds the engineering and product teams together, collaboratively working together throughout the life cycle of our products.
As someone who has years of experience, you will be working to set scalable strategies in the team and create an environment for QA engineers to thrive.
You Will...
Be embedded with multiple teams: you will work closely with product managers, designers and software engineers, to ensure that we're delivering an exceptional experience to all our users.
Be the product guardian: ensure that validated deliverables always meet functional, design specifications and requirements of the products, and keep relevant management informed on the status of testing processes, raising issues when necessary.
Development process guru: you have experience working with end-to-end feature development teams and defining the QA process for your team. This may involve looking at the current development process for each team, identifying opportunities for injecting quality, and advocating for process changes to improve product quality.
You are meticulous in your work, and passionate about testing. You consider every possible scenario during exploratory testing and can spot bugs that others might not notice.
A puzzle solver: you are a problem solver who is passionate about solving different types of bugs. You are comfortable with using various tools to find out the root causes of issues and have worked with Jira (or other bug reporting tools) to communicate bugs effectively with engineers, PMs, and designers.
The knack to learn new: tech progress is what keeps QA testing exciting. And it means a non-stop education for you to keep up with the latest QA strategies, programming languages, testing methods and tools.
Can handle sudden changes: there will be plans that undergo constant modifications that you must be able to adapt to, adjust to the changes in the workflow, and remain resistant to stressful situations.
Time management and prioritisation: you understand what needs to be done now and what can be delayed. Finding the balance between importance and urgency, according deadlines and goals, is a key part in a testing strategy.
Effective teamwork: Working with other QA Engineers to improve the QA activities across the business, and identifying opportunities to improve manual testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Writing manual regression tests for new, and existing features, and working with other software engineers to determine which tests need to be automated.

You Should Have...
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field.
A hands-on QA background with ideally more than 3 years in manual testing.
Experience with agile development styles and finding scalable solutions to fit in to team processes
Be a strong leader with experience in implementing and shaping a company's QA processes and strategies
A focus on continuous QA improvements including usage of appropriate testing tools and test techniques
Strong communication skills with all the key stakeholders to ensure QA vision is understood and implemented correctly.
You have experience working with engineers, and have a decent understanding of web tech stacks (backend, frontend, and everything in between).
Attention to detail ensures all your tasks are completed to the business' specifications. It prevents tasks from needing to be redone or revised to meet requirements later.
Problem-solving skills help you find solutions if you are struggling to meet the required quality standards. A combination of creativity, logic and critical thinking can serve you well when challenges arise in your duties.

Experience in using Robot Framework or Selenium
Previous experience in a startup environment.
