As a Java Developer, you will be a part of a team of Java developers delivering in an Agile environment. You will be expected to work directly with the team to understand the business requirements and design/deliver solutions. You will also be responsible for utilizing best practices to ensure high quality software solutions. You should have knowledge in Java development (experience in Java will be an advantage). It will be ideal if you have knowledge building REST services as well as integrating with back-end SOAP/REST-based web services.
Responsibilities:
To develop, debug and test software to meet requirements/specifications in accordance with the development schedule
Build and run unit tests
To support and maintain existing software functionality
To investigate existing software functionality to answer support queries
Continually update skills by learning new technologies relevant to the role
Promote and advocate best practices within the development team and throughout the business
To investigate, analyze and correct identified defects
Given the current COVID-19 situation, we are working from home for the time being
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (CS) or Information Technology (IT)
2-4 years of core Java experience. Fresh graduates with strong Java programming skill are welcome to apply
Good understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming and design patterns
Knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, DAO, Java Threading Model and SQL will be an advantage
Good understanding of Java application deployment tools like Java WebStart will be an advantage
Well versed with writing unit test cases using JUnit and JMock and developing using Eclipse IDE will be an advantage
