About the Role
As an Intermediate Developer, you oversee developing and maintaining software, as well as collaborating and growing, and you are well-versed in testing, tooling, and debugging best practices.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Deliver stable, secure, performant, well tested, and easy to understand code.
Solve a wide range of technical problems on your own, as well as be able to recognize when you can leverage the experience of more senior developers to help come up with better solutions.
Comfortable and familiar with the tools and languages being used and can easily find your way around the codebase.
Work with other developers to solve problems collaboratively and take an active interest in code and peer reviews.
Proactively apply the team's testing strategy to avoid regressions and be comfortable with a range of automated testing tools and techniques.
Supporting the team tooling and looking for opportunities to recommend improvements.
About You
You must have a love for learning and a drive to stay up with the current trends, in addition to a mind rich in technical knowledge. You thrive on finding methods to make things work, no matter what the obstacle is, and your welcome failure as a challenge and tend to bounce back with larger and better answers to these difficulties.
More significantly, you should be able to understand the larger picture for the firm beyond the project you are working on.
Position Prerequisites
Ability to write readable, extensible, performant server-side and easy code in HTML, CSS, Javascript. Preferably with experience in Shopify using Liquid.
Familiar with common design patterns and understand when and how to apply them.
Familiar with the tools and languages being used and can easily find your way around the codebase.
Proficient at debugging relatively complicated issues and comfortable with the team's tools and techniques for debugging and problem-solving.
