Description
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor/College Degree in Merchandising, Retail, Marketing, Sales, or equivalent
• Proven working experience in merchandising
• Strong listening, presentation and decision making skills
• Experienced Merchandiser to produce sales by providing point-of-purchase and shelf management services
• Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
• Experience in wholesale or retail industry and dealing with these products such as kitchenware, tableware, houseware, and hardware would be an advantage
Job Descriptions:
• Produce layout plans for stores and maintain store shelves and inventory
• Maximize customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately
• Plan and develop merchandising strategies that balance customers' expectations and the company's objectives
• Coordinate and communicate with company buyers on what items to purchase for a store's inventory
• Work closely with the store's marketing team to ensure that products are given effective promotional attention
• Analyze sales figures, customers reactions, and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges/stock
• Collaborate with buyers, suppliers, distributors, and analysts to negotiate prices, quantities, and time-scales
• Set various sales goals and work with the division managers and other employees to ensure that those goals are met
• Keep up with competitors' products and prices, set promotional goals, train distribution staff, and develop relationships with the marketing team
• Lead a team of inventory or warehouse workers to receive and record new stock as it comes in and move stock onto trucks or store shelves as needed
