BUYING
Decides on the products to be carried for each location based on sales forecasts, demand, market, campaigns, and trends.
Conducts inventory simulation to gauge levels and health.
Work with Merchandising team to place orders for all brands under Digital Commerce.
Identifies item role and depth.
Plans for expected demand based on seasonality and initiatives.
Responsible for the on-time release of merchandise to each account.
Work with Merchandising team to ensure that all details on the masterfile for each location are accurate.
Ensure that replenishments are made on a regular basis.
PERFORMANCE ANAYLYSIS
Analyze performance of SKUs daily. Prepare weekly, monthly and seasonal reports.
Execute strategies to achieve sales targets and maintain desired inventory levels per location.
Study factors that affect the sales of each style and recommend appropriate action.
Review current inventory to sustain demand.
Find patterns on consumer buying behavior.
Coordinate and work with the Operations Assistants and Merchandising team regarding product consolidation, pull-outs and transfers.
Work with the Digital Commerce Operations Assistants to gather other information and feedback on merchandise from customers.
Recommend promotions, initiatives and action points based on movement of merchandise.
Provide data, reports and analytical support to the team by maintaining a comprehensive library of appropriate merchandise and inventory data.
Work and communicate with the different stores/accounts with regards to inventory and merchandise concerns.
MERCHANDISE UPKEEP
Maintain the product masterfile for all locations by ensuring proper uploading of images, description, sizes, colors and inventory.
Ensure that all brands are presented within standards for each online store.
Coordinate with Merchandising and Marketing teams for details needed for the products to be made available in the eCommerce stores.
Reviews items for continuance or discontinuance based on sales and consumer acceptance.
Proposes and implements discounts schemes and initiatives while maintaining desired margins.
Coordinate with Merchandising and Warehouse teams regarding defective items.
Conduct market research by checking other online/eCommerce stores to be updated on trends, offers and initiatives.
Keep abreast with competitors and customer interest.
Communicate with Merchandising teams, the Operations Assistants and Warehouse for deliveries, price updates, product issues and other concerns pertaining to merchandise.
Coordinate with Digital Commerce Operations Assistants for customer concerns regarding merchandise such as product quality and details.
Work closely with Digital Commerce Operations Assistants and Development/Technical team to ensure that each style is correctly and properly placed on the online stores.
Ensure the team is responding effectively to merchandise-related issues and that any problems are escalated and addressed.
