Description
1. Performs routine and STAT laboratory examinations in the section under the supervision of the Technologist-in-Charge.
2. Checks if the specimens received are adequate and if the name of the patient on the request corresponds to the name written on the labeled sample container.
3. Ensures that all the required data are written in the request form, and verifies with the referring doctor or his secretary if there is a need to ask for more patient data or other things pertinent to the requested laboratory procedure.
4. Checks proper entry of specimens in the logbook or entry sheet.
5. Verifies that quality control results are within control range every day. If out-of-control, troubleshooting is done to find the causes and correct the problem.
