JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor as coordinated to Clinic Officer and/or Clinic Manager, responsible for the efficient operation and proper maintenance of the clinic's laboratory
1. Ensures completeness of all needed laboratory reagents and supplies and proper maintenance of all machine and equipment
Ensures that preventive maintenance for laboratory equipment/machine is being conducted regularly
Ensures that all laboratory supplies and reagents are available at all times
2. Ensures traceability of all specimen collected in the laboratory
3. Performs all required examinations such as the following:
a) Hematology
b) Clinical Microscopy
c) Drug Testing
d) Clinical Chemistry/Immunology
e) Cytology/Histopathology
f) Bacteriology
g) Gram Stain/AFB
4. Ensures that tests are being done with accuracy and efficiency
5. Strictly observes standard set on aseptic technique and universal precaution
6. Ensures a timely reporting of results and that results are correct and accurate
7. Strictly adheres to maintaining confidentiality of all laboratory results
8. Actively participate in the management of patient by coordinating with attending physicians on significant finding
9. Coordinate with Admin Assistant/ clinic manager regarding government's requirements such as licenses, special staff training/updated standard etc.
10. Secures consent for special test needed or as required by law, eg. HIV test
11. Attends regular staff meeting
12. Participates in a monthly staff development program
13. Submits required reports to clinic Officer/QA Manager
14. Performs other related tasks assigned by the Senior Medical Technologist/Clinic Officer from time to time.
Qualifications
1. Licensed Medical Technologist
2. Results-oriented and can work well under pressure
3. Good communication skills in English and Filipino
4. Willing to be assigned in in the locations provided
