Under general supervision, performs various chemical, microscopic and hematologic tests to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Prepares and extracts blood or specimens for clinical microscopy; applies techniques used in the fields of hematology, parasitology clinical chemistry and receives or obtains specimens for laboratory analysis; performs skin and venous puncture.
Responsible for the accuracy of examinations and analysis to assist physicians in making correct diagnosis of patients' diseases, and records laboratory test results for release to patients.
Participates in medical discussion when necessary for proper diagnosis of different illnesses of patients, and studies new laboratory examinations of interests with the use of different kinds of laboratory techniques.
Performs other related duties and responsibilities.
