Job Description
Primary care functions: o Outpatient consultations (general consultations) o Inpatient care, emergencies
Preventive care consultations (pre-employment screenings, annual medical checkups, vaccination programs, industry specific/company specific medicals)
Specialist care functions: o Provide long-term comprehensive care for adults, adolescents and the elderly, and diagnose multiple, complex illnesses that can occur in any part of the body system.
Proficient at handling the interactions between different body organs.
Respond to emergency or rapid condition changes in acute patients.
Diagnose and treat acute diseases like viral and bacterial infections. Handle chronic illnesses and conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and heart disease.
Monitor the progress and condition of patients, re-evaluating treatments where necessary.
Explain test procedures, discuss results, and provide counseling, health and wellness advice, and support to patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
Document differential diagnoses accurately in accordance with presenting symptoms, based on the latest International Classification of Diseases (ICD)
Coordinate case management with other medical team colleagues.
Consult with and refer patients to other specialists, if necessary. o Call rotate with other physicians. o Stay updated on new medications, procedures and treatment methods.
Support ongoing optimization efforts to improve cost effectiveness and the quality of care provided to patients.
Participate in knowledge sharing and the provision of in-service training to other medical team colleagues.
Perform basic surgical procedures, trauma care and joint injections/blocks.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Prof'l License(Passed Board/Bar/Prof'l License Exam) holder.
Successful completion of residency in Internal Medicine
At least 3 years of Internal Medicine experience
Current BLS /ACLS certification
Integrity and strong professional code of ethics
Personable, supportive disposition
Strong communication skills, including sensitivity and the ability to provide clear explanations
Great attention to detail with excellent analytical skills
Proven ability to function effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
Must be willing to be Medevac/Helivac/TBOSIET Doctor and willing to undergo training
