POSITION SUMMARY:
A Lien Negotiator is a professional who will support our clients, by having direct communication with insurance companies, in order to negotiate settlements for the benefit of the firm's clients. They are also in charge of the administrative tasks such as:
JOB DESCRIPTION
Settlement negotiation with insurance companies
Preparing status reports for adjusters
Provide a settlement plan of action and justification for settlement amounts to be included in all requests for authority
Evaluate payment histories to determine the timeliness of payment and objections.
Identifying and reporting potentially fraudulent activity.
Establish appropriate defenses by examining all documentation and collecting any pertinent, missing records.
Regularly keep clients informed.
Provide status updates to providers.
Draft reduction letters.
Obtain final medical balances at settlement.
Assemble, organize, and itemize client medical bills.
Other duties may be assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
2-years work experience as a Lien Negotiator (Personal Injury case experience is preferred)
Possess strong reasoning, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to communicate clearly by telephone in a professional manner.
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
Can work independently, multi-task, and work under pressure
Can meet deadlines and quotas
