We are looking for a highly detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately entering patient charges into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, ensuring that all billing and coding activities align with current healthcare regulations and insurance guidelines.The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and familiarity with various insurance providers and their requirements. Your ability to maintain accuracy, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with both internal teams and external partners will be critical to your success in this role.Key Responsibilities:
Accurately enter charges and billing information into the EMR system.
Review patient accounts to ensure all services are properly documented and billed.
Verify insurance coverage and follow up on claim denials, rejections, and unpaid claims.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations related to medical billing and coding.
Collaborate with providers, front office staff, and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding (CPT, ICD-10), billing procedures, and industry changes.
Assist with the preparation of patient statements and respond to billing inquiries as needed.
Generate and submit insurance claims in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Medical Biller, or in a similar role within a healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of insurance guidelines (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid) and healthcare billing regulations.
Proficiency in using EMR systems and billing software.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Familiarity with medical terminology, coding systems (CPT, ICD-10), and HIPAA compliance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
