Manage patient scheduling, including appointment confirmations and follow-ups.
Ensure accurate and confidential management of patient records, complying with HIPAA standards.
Assist with insurance verifications, authorizations, and patient billing inquiries.
Support the clinical team by preparing necessary documents and materials for patient visits.
Respond to patient inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with professionalism and empathy.
Maintain inventory of necessary medical supplies and equipment.
Collaborate with practice staff to enhance patient care services.
Requirements
Previous experience in a medical administrative assistant role in a Bariatric Practice setting for atleast 2 years.
Familiarity with Bariatric terminology and medical office procedures.
Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software specifically DrChrono EHR.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Experience with insurance processes and medical billing is a plus.
Knowledge or Familiarity with CPT and ICD10 Codes for Bariatric Practice if preferred
Device with an I5 Gen 7, equal or above and atleast 8GB Ram, 25MBPS of Internet Speed
