The Role
As a Media Relations Officer, you will provide support and assistance to the Corporate Affairs Unit Head in the execution of corporate communications activities involving government relations, media communications, issues management, corporate and social responsibility, information dissemination and strategic communications advice.
How you'll contribute
Develops Post Event Evaluation Reports for submission within two weeks from the media function to include details of the event, summary of the feedback with an analysis of negative and positive comments from event guests, colleagues, management and third-party PR consultant.
Conducts post-analysis of all PR and advertising initiatives to check quality and accuracy of the placements in various media (e.g. ad size, pagination, print quality, etc. for print ads; airing time and dates for TV and radio ads, etc.).
Evaluates proposals of advertising supplements to reinforce the Bank's corporate reputation as a highly financial institution.
Cultivates and enhances collaborative working relationships with the press and PR community.
Updates media data files including confidential information such as birthdays, publication anniversaries and other preferences to keep track, understand and address significant media needs and requests.
Assists the Corporate Affairs Unit Head in drafting various communication materials and policy manuals to standardize and regulate communications within and outside the institution.
Gathers and disseminates timely information about potential awards and competitions to the Corporate Affairs Unit Head to establish credibility and leverage the Bank's standing in the Public Relations and Communications industry.
Assists in preparing / drafting the Media Plan to maximize Bank-wide advertising initiatives contracted with various media outfits and other organizations.
Assists the Corporate Affairs Unit Head in working with the Human Resources Department, Security Bank Foundation, Inc., national organizations and charitable foundations to create programs that promote the Bank's image in a positive and community-oriented way.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising/Media, Mass Communications, Journalism
With 4- 5 years of related work experience, Knowledge on Media Relations and Communications, Public Affairs / CSR / Memberships, Advertising Support / Media Placements and Third-Party Provider Coordination

Able to assist in managing projects with different types of stakeholders, communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and external parties; Able to record expenses and process payments on a timely manner; Attentive to details
