Job Description
Conduct fitting (or general) tasks as directed IAW supplied Work Pack / Job Tickets
Inspection, testing and servicing of on-board mechanical systems.
Inspection, analysis and recording of critical measurements, data or information during the process of undertaking mechanical refurbishment works.
Completing works in the required time frames and if unachievable, informing line Supervisors / Managers immediately.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
With trade Qualifications - Fitter & Turner, Machinist, Diesel Fitter (Heavy), Pipe Fitter
5 years of experience in Shaft lines (including associated components) removal and installation including taking and compiling detailed measurements accurately.
Preferably with Marine refit / repair or heavy industrial experience.
Ability to Read and interpret Technical Drawings and Diagrams.
Ability to isolate, disconnect, remove, and reinstall on-board equipment / machinery including all associated sub systems, pipework, and fittings / fixtures
Vales (broad range) overhaul experience.
Basic matching / fabrication and welding experience.
Knowledge of Occupational, Health and Welfare Act and application to the workplace
Must have a valid Driver's License
