Conversant Products is currently looking for a mechanical engineer to join a cross-disciplined team responsible for mass production, new product introduction, sourcing, quality control, problem resolution, and performance analysis.
The focus of this position is for the employee to lead the product development process of a healthcare/medical device
This is a full-time position that requires some independence, flexibility, and a willingness to work on cross functional teams to do what it takes to exceed our customers' expectations.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Assessing project requirements
Estimating budgets and time scopes for each project
Maintaining and modifying equipment to ensure that it is safe, reliable and efficient
Using computer-aided design/modelling software
Liaising with suppliers
Ensuring that products meet compliance regulations
Producing and implementing designs and test procedures
Developing manufacturing processes for assembling and installing components
Completing projects by training and guiding technicians and operators.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and no less than five years of relevant experience for position of Engineer
Experience with healthcare/medical device industry is a plus
Skilled in CAD/CAM is essential
Requires strong analytical, mathematical, statistical, problem solving, organization and communication skills
Experience in SMT/electromechanical assembly operations including understanding and application of leading manufacturing principles
