We're Hiring a Mechanical Drafter: Plumbing, Sprinkler & HVAC - Join Our Elite Team!
Are you an experienced Mechanical Drafter with a strong track record and professional work ethic?
The Global Sourcing Group is on the lookout for top-caliber Mechanical Drafters to join our growing team serving U.S.-based clients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years of experience as a Mechanical Drafter with a focus on Plumbing, Sprinkler, and HVAC systems
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP coordination tools
Experience with NYC Mechanical Code, NYC Plumbing Code, Building Code, and Fire Code is a PLUS!
Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, and SMACNA standards
Strong understanding of piping, ducting, and equipment layout best practices
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schedules
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Draft complete mechanical drawings for plumbing, HVAC, and fire sprinkler systems in compliance with NYC codes
Prepare 2D and 3D MEP drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar BIM platforms
Interpret and incorporate architectural and structural plans into mechanical designs
Ensure all designs comply with NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) and FDNY regulations
Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to resolve clashes and coordination issues
Revise drawings based on markups, redlines, site changes, or code updates
